Background
The first step in moving forward with plans to address the age and infrastructure inadequacies with the current Middle School building is for the Board of Education to answer one question:
“Will the 1930 Middle School continue to be used as a learning center for students?”
If this answer is yes, then a comprehensive facilities plan must be developed to renovate the building into space suitable for 21st Century Learning. If this answer is no, then alternative options for creating a new 21st Century Learning Center elsewhere must be developed. This will involve creating a comprehensive facilities plan and investigating options for the current building.
The topic creates many questions which cannot yet be answered. Information about what we do know is presented in this blog. There are still a number of “What ifs,” and we are sure there will be more as we begin the process of deciding whether to renovate or build new.

ENROLLMENT:
The District has conducted multiple demographic studies, which have revealed varied statistics. After careful examination and comparison, enrollment is projected to be approximately 2,200-2,300 students annually in the next five years. From this information, we have determined that the current four building school system structure is needed.
